It's visually stunning and has a great, grim setting but the genre attached to it (more specifically the tag fighter subgenre) certainly isn't for everyone. You've got plenty of years worth of labbing, match-up, frame and combo knowledge to contend with here! The game's been around for over a decade now and the amount of people playing generally has always hovered around the same number (170 - 250ish) so if this is the first fighting game you're picking up prepare to have to jump through some hoops (via Discord) to set up a match with someone in your skill bracket, for the matches quickplay may throw at you will likely leave you with some regrets and frustration. Very much combo oriented where the goal is to allow the other player to have as little amount of opportunity to play the game as possible, though it does a much better job at allowing for recovery than its source of inspiration (where true full health to death combos are possible) and the roster is considerably more balanced. Well, let's put those reviews and comments (for and against) out of mind and start from absolute zero here.
